We had a really enjoyable location shoot with Kerry, Pete and their children James and Abigail heading along the Cuckmere river to the sea. Although James and Abigail were shy at first, they quickly warmed to the camera. We loved following James and Abigail as they explored both on and off the beaten path. It was easy to see the amazing relationship all of the family have with each other; this comes shining through in the photographs.
We had a great time with Claire, Kieran and 4 and a half month old baby Lily in our home studio. Lily was very happy in front of the camera and particularly enjoyed laying (and sometimes nibbling) on our colourful cushions. Lily looks very cute in her different outfits and we thought she looked especially good in a vintage style headband from our collection (made by the talented Anna Luce).

Amy, Steve and their children, Edward and 11 day old baby Hugo joined us in our home studio for a newborn photography session. It was arranged for an afternoon – the time when Hugo was often most settled and sleepy. Sleeping newborns soon curl up into some very cute poses. As if on cue however, baby Hugo was wide awake – excited to be the star of his own photo shoot!
We’re accustomed to newborns dictating the schedule so we quickly adjusted and let Hugo lead the way. We achieved some beautiful awake shots to begin with and later some sleeping photographs. At one stage Hugo became a little unsettled and it was a real joy to see Edward attempt to sooth his new baby brother; a real heart-warming moment.
Here’s a wonderful slideshow from this session.

Kelly, Jamie and baby Evelyn were the lucky winners of our newborn and baby competition for a free studio photography session. It was a real pleasure to photograph them. Baby Evelyn was a very happy baby and was kept entertained and engaged during the shoot with one of our noisy toy buses. Here are some of our favourites from the shoot; we especially like Evelyn demonstrating her sky diving pose (perhaps a sign of what she might like to do when she’s older?!).
We have had a fantastic experience with Steve and Rhiannon. My daughter had won a competition for a free photo shoot with Diamond Photography and we couldn’t be happier with the shoot or the pictures. From start to finish they were patient, professional and the pictures turned out amazing. Thank you very much, you haven’t seen the last of us.
Hazel was 37 weeks pregnant when she came to us with her husband Martyn for her, ‘You and Your Bump’ maternity photography session. The couple were excited to meet their first new addition to their family; they had found out they were having a baby girl! During the session we did a variety of poses which best showed off the beautiful bump. It was clear that Hazel and Martyn were already a happy family and we know that their new baby girl will add to this in the most special way.
Daniel was a star in his newborn shoot in December, soundly sleeping through most of it! We always use heaters to keep the room warm during the shoot, which helped him stay snug and in a deep sleep. We were able to do a variety of shots with 11 day old Daniel, including capturing all the small details such as his cute, tiny hands. As his dad is a tennis coach, we’re sure it won’t be long before they are big enough to hold a tennis racket!
