Amy, Steve and their children, Edward and 11 day old baby Hugo joined us in our home studio for a newborn photography session. It was arranged for an afternoon – the time when Hugo was often most settled and sleepy. Sleeping newborns soon curl up into some very cute poses. As if on cue however, baby Hugo was wide awake – excited to be the star of his own photo shoot!

We’re accustomed to newborns dictating the schedule so we quickly adjusted and let Hugo lead the way. We achieved some beautiful awake shots to begin with and later some sleeping photographs. At one stage Hugo became a little unsettled and it was a real joy to see Edward attempt to sooth his new baby brother; a real heart-warming moment.

Sarah and Rob joined us in the 36th week of their pregnancy for a “You and Your Bump” session. We shot a range of photographs including some natural light shots as well as some low key images against our black backdrop. Despite being camera shy like many of us, Sarah and Rob were great and quickly got used to the camera. This allowed us to capture some of their natural smiles and laughter from a happy expectant couple.

We had a really lovely time photographing Christina and Andy and their beautiful daughter Isabella. It was a gorgeous spring day and so after completing the indoor photo shoot, we took advantage of the weather and finished outside. Taking photographs of this happy family both inside and outside enabled us to capture a variety of loving and spontaneous playful moments between them.

Zoe and Chris had beautiful spring weather for their special day at The Star in Alfriston. They chose a wonderful venue in a picturesque area of the South Downs National Park. The sun shone all day allowing us to take in the stunning views of Alfriston and the Cuckmere River. These views provided a fantastic backdrop for photographing the happy couple and their family and friends.

The day went perfectly for Zoe and Chris, from the beautiful ceremony, to dancing the night away on the dance floor. Our one challenge of the day was not confusing the groom with his identical twin brother!

Marc and Chloe got married at the lovely Hydro Hotel in Eastbourne, just off the seafront. The venue is in a fantastic location, with the ceremony room over looking an amazing view of the sea and Beachy Head. After the ceremony, the bride and groom were joined by their guests on the lawn and were able to take in the sea views whilst enjoying a drink and having group photos taken. The bridal party and guests then got their first touch of entertainment – a spin around the block in the groom’s impressive mode of transport for the day –an Audi R8! As with all our wedding photography we managed to steal Marc and Chloe away briefly to get some stunning shots with just the two of them. After the meal and speeches, came the first dance, where the bride and groom were showered in confetti. The dance floor continued to be full for the rest of the evening, which included a little performance from the groom’s dad.
